Raske fakta: Plassert på en klippeutsikt over Omanbukten, ble dette fortet opprinnelig bygget av portugiserne på 1580-tallet for å beskytte Muscats havn. Dets to utkikkstårn og dramatiske beliggenhet på klippekanten huset en gang kanoner som kunne avfyre varselskudd over hele bukten.
Høydepunkter: I motsetning til de fleste fort som føles som støvete museer, har dette fortsatt en fungerende vindebro og originale portugisiske kanoner rettet mot havet. Gå opp de smale trappene til taket ved solnedgang og se byens lys tennes over havnen nedenfor.
