Jesuittordenen bygde den opprinnelig som en del av sitt oppdrag om å undervise og inspirere gjennom dramatisk kunst og arkitektur.
Høydepunkter: Gå inn og se opp: takfresken av den østerrikske maleren Johann Lucas Kracker skaper en imponerende 3D-illusjon av en åpen himmel med helgener som svever over deg, selv om taket er helt flatt. Kirkens unike trompetformede prekestol, skåret ut av et enkelt trestykke, projiserer lyd så perfekt at en hvisking fra den kan høres tydelig bakerst i skipet.
