The best time to come is just before sunset, when the bridge lights up and you can see the whole scenery transform. An evening walk between 7 and 10 PM offers the most impressive color show.

Raske fakta: Hver kveld lyser broen opp i vekslende syv farger, noe som daglig tiltrekker over 10 000 besøkende til en tur langs dens 402 meter. Under broens buer seiler dusinvis av utfluktsbåter som tilbyr utsikt over den opplyste byen fra elven Hương.
Høydepunkter: Under Vietnamkrigen ble broen bombet to ganger, og hver gang gjenoppbygde lokalbefolkningen den med egne hender ved hjelp av originale materialer som ble hentet opp fra elven. Om natten møtes unge par på broen for å gi hverandre sitt første kyss i lyset fra de fargede lampene. Lokalbefolkningen kaller den «de forelskedes bro».

- Photographers should arrive at 6:30 PM to capture the blue hour and the first lighting of the bridge in one shot.
- Instead of walking on the bridge, sit in the tea house on the left bank. From there you have the whole bridge in perspective and the crowds are not pushing you.
- Avoid Saturday evenings, when the bridge is most crowded with locals and tourists.
- Take a light jacket even in summer. In the evening a pleasant cool wind blows from the river.
