Rýchle fakty: Na tomto priestranstve pod holým nebom stojí vyše 70 parných, dieselových a elektrických rušňov, z ktorých niektoré boli vyrobené ešte v 19. storočí. Najväčší exponát váži 165 ton, je to sovietsky ťažký parný rušeň FD, ktorý dokázal ťahať náklady celý kilometer.
Zaujímavosti: Jedným z najprekvapivejších exponátov je nemecký parný rušeň úzkorozchodnej železnice, ktorý používal Wehrmacht na východnom fronte a po vojne ešte celé desaťročia slúžil v bieloruských rašeliniskách.
Insiderské tipy
- Wear comfortable shoes. The site has gravel and rails, so you will be walking on uneven ground.
- The best photos are taken early in the morning, when the sun shines from the northeast and does not blind you when photographing the fronts of the locomotives.
- Do not miss the locomotive "Iskra". It is one of the oldest surviving steam locomotives in all of Eastern Europe.
- If you are traveling with children, let them touch the locomotive wheels. There are not many barriers here, so a lot can be seen up close.
