It is worth arriving in the early afternoon, because the morning tour groups have already left the halls by then. There are also far fewer visitors on midweek days than on Fridays and Sundays.

Rýchle fakty: Zbierka predstavuje len niekoľko stoviek predmetov, ale každý z nich je vynikajúcej kvality, preto ju považujú za jedno z najlepších malých múzeí na svete. Výstava v modernom múzejnom usporiadaní s vynikajúcim osvetlením predstavuje majstrovské diela faraónskej éry, aké v Egypte sotva nájdeš inde.
Zaujímavosti: Najväčšou senzáciou sú dve kráľovské múmie z Tutanchamonovej hrobky, ktoré sem priviezli v roku 2019 a odvtedy sú vystavené v samostatnej sále v klimatizovaných sklenených vitrínach. Ďalším skvostom múzea sú sochy z krokodílej siene z obdobia Amenhotepa III., ktoré v 20. storočí našli na jedinom skrytom mieste zachovanom v bezchybnom stave.

- Photography is forbidden in the mummy hall, but in the other halls you are free to take photos without flash, so it is worth taking advantage of this.
- The café terrace on the upper level offers a wonderful view of the Nile, so take a rest there halfway through your visit.
- Instead of the loud tour guides, it is worth choosing the audioguide that can be rented at the entrance, which also offers a recording in Hungarian.
- Avoid the arrival times of the big cruises; the museum is typically flooded between 9 and 11 in the morning.
