Rýchle fakty: Cez prístav Berbera prechádza 95% všetkého námorného obchodu Somalilandu. Ročne sa tu spracuje viac ako 2 milióny ton nákladu vrátane dobytka pre krajiny Perzského zálivu.

- Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants: the piers are concrete, and the warehouses are full of dust and gravel.
- The best photos are taken from the northern tip of the port, where old rusty cranes stand against the turquoise water.
- Do not try to go through the main gate with cameras without asking; the security is strict. It is better to ask the port manager for permission.
- Come on livestock shipping days (Saturday and Sunday): the sight of loading hundreds of sheep and goats onto ships is unforgettable.
