Brze činjenice: Katolička katedrala sv. Ludvika u Plovdivu je najveća katolička crkva u Bugarskoj i druga najveća na celom Balkanskom poluostrvu. Njena istorija seže u 40. godine 19. veka, kada su je izgradili francuski katolički misionari, a njen zvonik je visok čak 44 metra.
Istaknuto: U unutrašnjosti vas iznenadi zadivljujući barokni oltar od belog mramora, koji su doneli čak iz Italije. Ispod katedrale leži tajna kripta sa zbirkom drevnih reljefa i fresaka, koje su otkrili tokom obnove 2002. godine.

- Go to the side chapel where the original cathedral plans are kept. Very few people know about this treasure.
- Take photos on the staircase in front of the main entrance, where the best view of the entire facade is.
- Enter the crypt through the side door to the left of the altar. The church guide will gladly show you the way if you ask politely.
- Avoid visiting during religious holidays, when the church is overflowing with locals and there is hardly any room to look around.
