Brze činjenice: The climb covers a vertical difference of about 800 meters, and the trail passes through three different vegetation belts to the summit at 1,050 meters. In clear weather, from here you can see Laguna Toro, Última Esperanza Sound and up to 150 kilometers of glaciers in the distance.
Istaknuto: The stunted beeches here are bent by the western winds up to 45 degrees, and an old stone geodesic pyramid hides among them at the very summit. Amid complete silence, broken only by the breeze and the ringing of sheep bells from below, the view captures the whole chain of Torres del Paine from 1,050 meters in height.

- Wear trekking shoes with good grip, because the forested part of the trail is loose and very steep 30 minutes below the summit.
- Ten minutes before the summit, look for a stone platform with a panorama of Laguna Toro, the ideal secluded photo spot.
- Set out by 9 a.m., because on the trail you encounter the fewest people and the light is best for photos.
- Avoid the hike after a rainy night, because the muddy stretches become slippery and make the ascent tricky.
