Brze činjenice: Oko 15 kamenih građevina razbacano je po stenovitom uzvišenju, tvrđava koju je podigao narod Atakamenjo tokom srednjeg veka. Krvava bitka 1540. naterala je branioce da napuste uzvišenje, a ostaci zida stoje i danas.
Istaknuto: Jedini uzani otvor u zidu služio je kao kapija, odbrana toliko efikasna da je nekolicina mogla držati celu vojsku napolju. Na grebenu, više od 100 metara iznad reke, imate celu dolinu i 5.916 metara visok vulkan Likankabur u istom pogledu.
