Brze činjenice: Zavija se oko 10,5 metara široka, što je čini jednom od najširih takvih građevina u Evropi. Na vrhu se nalazi zvezdarnica iz 17. veka, pa uz penjanje dobijate i dozu astronomske istorije.
Istaknuto: Umesto stepenica, penjete se širokom spiralnom rampom od 209 metara, dovoljno širokom da se njome nekada vozila kočija. Ruski car Petar Veliki se navodno njome popeo na konju, što je priča koju malo ko zna.

- Wear comfortable shoes because the ramp climbs gradually, but it is long, and coming back down can be challenging for the knees.
- The best photo is from the top towards the old town, but the ramp itself from the inside also gives fantastic shots, especially with the light coming in through the windows.
- Visit the library and the concert hall on the way up, it is often an overlooked part of the experience.
- Avoid weekends around noon when the queues are longest and moving along the ramp becomes difficult.
