Brze činjenice: The nature here is known as Reserva Natural Cerro Tzankujil and offers a steep hike up through shady forest to a cliff edge with panoramic views over Lago de Atitlán. The reserve features both a swimming platform directly over the lake and a network of trails where you can spot howler monkeys echoing through the treetops.
Istaknuto: Far down below the water surface lies an old diving bell that adventurous swimmers can dive down and touch, deeper than you would think possible from the surface. In the morning, before the tourists arrive, you can have the platform and the howler monkeys' morning concert all to yourself, while the sun slowly colors the volcanoes on the other side of the lake.
