Brze činjenice: Housed inside a 16th-century convent, the collection spans over 500 years of tile-making history. A monumental 36-meter-long panorama of pre-earthquake Lisbon is created from 1,300 individual azulejo panels.
Istaknuto: Step into the convent church and look up: the walls shimmer with gilded carvings and blue-and-white tiles that rise 20 meters toward the ceiling. The cloister itself is wrapped in a 17th-century tile frieze depicting pastoral scenes, where each panel tells a small visual story across 30 meters of arched walkway.
