O atrakciji
Brze činjenice: Pešačari mogu sresti retke kantabrijske smeđe medvede i videti drevne krečnjačke vrhove koji se uzdižu do 2.600 metara nadmorske visine. Reke urezuju dramatične kanjone gde slobodno lete zlatni orlovi i cvetaju divlje orhideje.
Istaknuto: Planinarske staze vode kroz jezera Covadonga, gde ledenjačke vode sjaje ispod planinskih litica oblikovanih vekovima vremena. Jedna staza vodi do vrha Naranjo de Bulnes, upečatljivog monolita koji privlači penjače širom sveta zbog svoje 2.518 metara visoke vertikalne strane.
Insajderski saveti
- Wear trekking boots with good grip, because sections of the trails run over rocky slopes and gravel paths.
- Set off on the Cares trail at 7 in the morning to enjoy views without crowds and in pleasant shade.
- Bring tick spray, in summer they appear in large numbers on the grassy sections of the trails.
- Try the local cabrales cheese served with honey at the refuges, it is a specialty of the region that you cannot buy anywhere else.
