Brze činjenice: More than 125 waterfalls tumble through this river valley, with Brandywine Falls plunging 65 feet over a sandstone cliff. An overlooked section of the Ohio & Erie Canal, built with 44 hand-dug locks, still runs through the park and you can walk along its towpath today.
Istaknuto: Deep inside the forest near Stanford House, a single sycamore tree stands with a trunk circumference over 18 feet, easily 250 years old. Park rangers say it was already a sapling when George Washington was president, quietly growing through every era of American history.
