The bus system is confusing and slow, better to use ride-shares or bikes if you can. Also, bring cash for smaller vendors, cards aren't always accepted.
Check out the art museum on Thursdays after 5pm, free entry and less crowded. Avoid weekends if you want a calm visit.
Grab a coffee at the cafe on Monroe Street, not touristy and the pastries are homemade. Great spot to people-watch too.
The city has a friendly vibe, felt safe walking even at night. Prices are reasonable, and the locals are super welcoming.
Weather was nicer than expected in late fall, very walkable city. The river views at sunset made for a nice evening stroll.
