Hakkında

Hızlı bilgiler: Inside this modest wooden house where Bob Marley lived from 1975 until his death in 1981, his bed and favorite guitar still remain. The former office of the Tuff Gong publishing house has now been turned into a museum that attracts over 50,000 visitors from around the world each year.

Öne çıkanlar: Bob's bed is still not made the way he liked it, and under his pillow you can see his favorite Bible and poetry notebook. On the wall of his bedroom, bullet marks from the 1976 assassination attempt remain, which Bob survived just two days before the Smile Jamaica concert.

İçeriden ipuçları

  • Be sure to peek into the recording studio in the yard: the sound insulation is handmade from cardboard egg cartons glued to the walls.
  • Take photos in front of the mural on Hope Road, but avoid selfie sticks as they are not allowed inside the museum.
  • Visit the small garden with native plants behind the house where Bob often meditated under his favorite tree.
  • Buy souvenirs at the Tuff Gong shop on the way out; the prices are the same as in town and the selection of authentic t-shirts and CDs is excellent.
