Skip the crowded weekends and aim for a Tuesday or Thursday morning for a peaceful experience with fewer visitors.
The best photo spot is from the steps leading up to the main entrance, capturing the temple against the lake backdrop below.
Remove shoes before entering the temple premises there are free shoe-keeping counters right at the entrance gate.
Evening aarti draws large crowds, so arrive 20 minutes early to secure a good viewing spot near the main sanctum.
