The best time to come is early morning around 8:00, when the grounds are still empty and the light falls on the marble columns. Spring (March to May) offers the pleasant scent of blooming citrus trees and mild temperatures.

关于

快速信息: Up to 50 members of the Saadi family are buried here, including his grandson and great-grandson, making it a family mausoleum. More than 800,000 visitors come here each year to pay tribute to the memory of the Persian poet.

亮点: A river pearl crystal chandelier hangs above the poet's grave, over 200 years old and dating back to the Qajar dynasty. On the walls of the mausoleum, you will find verses carved directly into the stone, some of which are written in gold ink and reflect light like a mirror.

内部小贴士

  • Take a photo at the mirror mosaic in the main hall, where the tiles sparkle like thousands of tiny mirrors.
  • Bring a small notebook and pen with you; locals will write out a verse by Saadi in the original Persian on the spot.
  • Sit on a bench in the garden under a cypress tree and listen to the wind rustling through the verses recited by children on a school trip.
  • Do not miss the teahouse right behind the mausoleum; they serve traditional Persian tea with sugar sticks.
