It is best to come in the morning before 10 AM, before the tourist groups arrive and while the weather is most pleasant for a walk. On weekdays, you will have the entire place almost all to yourself.

快速信息: Nekada najbogatiji grad u britanskim kolonijama na Zapadu, Port Royal je 1692. godine progutao potres i cunami za samo nekoliko minuta. Danas veći deo grada leži pod morem, a vekovima kasnije ronioci još izvlače zlatnike i artefakte sa njegovih potopljenih ulica.

亮点: Ispod tihih talasa zaliva skriven je jedini potpuno očuvani grad iz 17. veka na svetu, sa zgradama koje su ostale netaknute od trenutka kada ih je more progutalo. Zaron na samo 12 metara dubine otkriva ciglene zidove, flaše ruma i komade porcelana koji su pre tri veka pripadali piratima i trgovcima.

Bring lightweight closed-toe shoes; the paths around the ruins are uneven and full of stones.
Take the best photos of the sunken city from the pier in the early morning light when the sea is calmest.
Skip the souvenir shop at the entrance; you will find more authentic souvenirs at the market in downtown Kingston.
If you suffer from seasickness, take a pill before the boat ride to the nearby reefs.
