About
Quick facts: Its 3.5-kilometer-long coastline gives Fujairah city a distinct identity. Over 10,000 people come here on weekends to enjoy the sunset and cool breeze.
Highlights: In the evening when the lights come on, sitting in the shade of more than 40 palm trees along the walkway and listening to the sound of the sea waves is a wonderful experience. From here, the peaks of the Hajar Mountains and the view up to the Oman border can be seen together, which is not found anywhere else in the entire United Arab Emirates.
Insider tips
- Come 20 minutes before sunset so you can easily find parking and grab the best spot.
- Go to the western end of the walkway, where there is less crowd and you get a great angle for photos.
- If you come for a walk here at 6 AM, you will experience a different kind of enjoyment from the morning routine of the locals and the fresh air.
- Do not miss the nearby Fujairah Fort, it is just a 5-minute drive away and both can be visited together.
