Fakte të shpejta: Fed by snowmelt from the Tianshan Mountains, this river flows through downtown Korla, forming a 46-kilometer-long ecological corridor. More than 120,000 trees have been planted along its banks. Each spring, over 30,000 migratory birds pass through, including swans and wild ducks foraging and resting on the river.

Pikat kryesore: Standing on the south bank at dusk, the river mirrors the last golden rays of the Tianshan snow peaks, while rows of poplar trees in the distance rustle in the wind. Locals call this river a "breathing landscape," because every morning at dawn, peacocks can be seen flying out of the woods on the opposite bank, their wings brushing the water and stirring up rings of ripples.

• There is a birdwatching pavilion in the middle section of the south bank. The best time to spot egrets and kingfishers is from 6:30 to 7:00 am. Bringing binoculars will improve the experience.
• Ride a bicycle eastward along the north bank. About 3 kilometers away, there is a wooden plank road suspended over the water, which is a perfect spot for taking reflection photos.
• There are more locals on weekend mornings. It is recommended to visit on weekday evenings when there are fewer people, the wind is cooler, and the light is softer.
• The poplar forest area at the western end of the riverbank turns golden red in late October. Photography enthusiasts should not miss this time.
