Felt super safe walking around, even at night the town felt cozy with friendly faces everywhere. Locals are warm and welcoming.
Ask locals for food spots away from the main plaza, those little paladares had the best homemade meals at reasonable prices.
Buy bottled water at local tiendas, it's cheaper than hotels and supermarkets. Bring cash, ATM machines are scarce and often empty.
The tobacco farms are definitely worth a visit, the guides really know their stuff. Try to skip peak hours, it gets crowded fast.
Weather was unpredictable, rained one minute sunny the next. Made planning hikes tricky but still managed some great shots of the valley.
