Fakte të shpejta: Perched on the River Shannon's bank, this rough limestone chunk witnessed the 1691 Treaty of Limerick that ended the Williamite War. The stone was originally used as a mounting block for horses and later became a symbol of the broken treaty promises known as the "Violated Treaty."
Pikat kryesore: The stone's pitted surface still bears tool marks from its original use as a 17th-century horse mounting block, not a ceremonial monument. Locals will tell you the stone was nearly demolished multiple times for road widening, surviving only because residents protested by physically standing around it.
