Fakte të shpejta: Nearly 13 million pilgrims and travelers arrive each year at the 2,080 steps that ascend among centuries-old cedars. The original complex had more than fifty buildings, of which around forty are preserved today, many considered national treasures.
Pikat kryesore: The three wise monkeys carved in the sacred stable, "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil," hide a fourth monkey carved on the reverse of the panel, almost invisible to the naked eye, representing the principle of "do no evil."
