Fakte të shpejta: The fortress's massive palm wood and iron gate still bears the mark of a cannonball fired during the 1902 battle that led to the recapture of Riyadh. Its watchtowers reach 18 meters high and were once used by guards to survey the surrounding palm groves and desert landscape.
