Fakte të shpejta: Europe's oldest surviving public garden opened in 1574, predating most of the continent's famous parks by centuries. Its 16th-century columns topped with statues of Hercules and Julius Caesar were salvaged from a Roman temple that once stood nearby.
Pikat kryesore: Two towering Roman columns stand at the northern entrance, each crowned with a statue: Hercules representing the mythical founder of Seville, and Julius Caesar representing its Roman restorer. Between them runs a shady promenade with 76 more columns, where Sevillanos have gathered to drink, dance, and debate for more than 400 years.
