Fakte të shpejta: The International Bomber Command Centre sits on a site that once was part of RAF Canwick Hill, a radar station during World War Two. Its stunning 31-meter tall Memorial Spire is perfectly aligned to point directly at the runway of nearby RAF Scampton, where the famous Dambusters squadron was based.

The spire's shadow sweeps across the names throughout the day, deliberately designed so that each name is touched by darkness and light at some point.
