Fakte të shpejta: Housed in three interconnected buildings that once formed part of the Royal Hospital School, the museum holds over 2.5 million items including the uniform Admiral Nelson wore at the Battle of Trafalgar. You can trace 500 years of British naval history across four themed galleries, from polar exploration to the fight against the slave trade.
Pikat kryesore: In one hushed gallery hangs the actual coat Nelson was wearing when he was fatally shot, complete with a visible bullet hole and the gold epaulette that gave away his rank to a French sniper. The museum also guards his undress sword, his funeral barge that carried him up the Thames, and the bloodstained flag from his ship HMS Victory.
