Fakte të shpejta: More than 30 antique fire trucks and horse-drawn apparatus fill this former 1930s fire station. The collection includes a rare 1912 American LaFrance that still runs on its original engine.

Pikat kryesore: Kids can actually ring the brass bell on a fully restored 1924 Seagrave pumper, not just look at it behind a rope. Volunteers fire up the old diesel sirens during weekend tours, sending a spine-tingling wail echoing through the station.

Këshilla të brendshme

  • Bring a camera for the vintage fire engine room lighting, the brass fixtures catch the morning sun beautifully.
  • Ask for Tony or Martha, the retired firefighters on duty, they have the best rescue stories from the 1970s.
  • Skip the gift shop, the real treasure is the back garage where volunteers restore trucks you can watch work in progress.
  • Visit on the first Saturday of the month for the siren demo where they start every running engine at once.
