Brze činjenice: Ova tvrđava stoji na stijeni visokoj 20 metara, uzdignutoj iznad vadi doline. Njeni zidovi su debeli do 3 metra, a unutra se kriju podzemni tuneli koji su vodili do tajnih izvora vode.
Istaknuto: Gledajući s kule, otvara se jedino mjesto u Omanu gdje se pustinja susreće sa okeanom - prizor za koji bi fotografi dali pola svoje opreme. Na zidovima tvrđave još uvijek se vide drevni zapisi koje su ostavili portugalski moreplovci prije 400 godina.
