Faits rapides: Le bâtiment actuel est une reconstruction fidèle de 2004 de l'hôtel de ville original de 1602, qui a été démoli en 1857 sur ordre de l'Empire russe. Sa tour de l'horloge sonne toutes les heures avec une mélodie composée spécialement pour Minsk, et la place devant accueille le sapin de Noël officiel de la ville chaque hiver.
