Faits rapides: C'est le plus ancien phare en activité de l'Adriatique, et sa lumière a brillé pour la première fois en 1818. Il n'a reçu l'électricité qu'en 1960, et jusqu'alors, trois gardiens se relayaient en équipes de huit heures pour l'entretenir.
Points forts: La pierre pour sa construction a été transportée par bateau depuis la carrière de l'île de Brač, la même qui a servi à construire le palais de Dioclétien à Split. Depuis une hauteur de 36 mètres, la vue s'étend sur trois pays à la fois : la Croatie, la Slovénie et l'Italie, et par temps clair on aperçoit même les contours des Alpes.

- Wear comfortable sneakers as the path to the lighthouse is rocky and uneven, not suitable for high heels.
- The best photos are taken from the stone shore to the right of the lighthouse, where you can also capture the old stone pier in the frame.
- Avoid June weekends as it can get crowded here due to nearby campsites.
- Bring a windbreaker even in good weather, as the bora wind can appear suddenly and blow very strongly.
