Faits rapides: Soaring 435 meters into the sky, this massive telecommunication tower holds the title of the tallest in Iran and the sixth tallest in the world. Its 12-story head structure houses everything from a revolving restaurant to a fire station, all enclosed in a lattice of concrete and glass.
Points forts: On clear days, the 360-degree observation deck reveals the entire sprawl of Tehran, with the snow-capped Alborz Mountains rising dramatically behind the city. Few visitors realize the tower's head contains an entire multi-story neighborhood of its own, complete with an art gallery, a café, and a flower market suspended in the sky.
