Faits rapides: Perchée sur une colline à 300 mètres au-dessus de Cagliari, cette forteresse du XIIIe siècle offre des vues panoramiques sur le golfe des Anges. Ses quatre tours défensives ont chacune des noms et des fonctions distincts, la Torre San Pancrazio étant la plus haute avec 30 mètres.
Points forts: Au coucher du soleil, les murs de calcaire blanc brillent d'une lueur dorée tandis que la ville entière de Cagliari s'étend en dessous comme un royaume miniature. Peu de visiteurs savent qu'ils peuvent marcher le long des anciens remparts et repérer les meurtrières originales du XIVe siècle encore parfaitement préservées dans la pierre.
