Faits rapides: Lors du grand siège de 1565, le crucifix miraculeux de l'église aurait sué, donnant ainsi de l'espoir aux défenseurs de Malte. L'église a servi d'église principale de l'Ordre de Saint-Jean pendant 41 ans avant que la co-cathédrale Saint-Jean ne soit achevée.
Points forts: Dans la crypte sous l'église se trouve l'un des orgues du XVIIe siècle les mieux conservés d'Europe, avec des tuyaux et une mécanique d'origine qui fonctionnent encore. Chaque dimanche, vous pouvez entendre la sonorité profonde et chaude remplir les murs de pierre voûtés comme elle le fait depuis plus de 350 ans.
