En juillet, l'air atteint 40°C, mais la légère brise marine rend la chaleur tout à fait supportable.
Points forts: À une heure de route de la plage se trouve une ancienne ville fantôme. Les bâtiments coloniaux abandonnés en pierre de corail sont érigés directement sur le rivage, et les vagues érodent peu à peu leurs fondations. Les pêcheurs locaux continuent de prendre la mer sur des boutres en bois construits sans un seul clou, et offrent souvent aux touristes du thon fraîchement pêché directement sur le sable.
