Friendly locals, gorgeous sunsets and great food. Spent six days and still wanted more, go for at least a week.

Rent a scooter only if comfortable, lock paperwork in the glove box, check brakes and lights, and fill up before nightfall.
Too many package-tour groups for my taste, beaches crowded midday and restaurants near piers jack up prices.
Island feels relaxed but also touristy, some beaches are crowded, tuk-tuks haggle hard but sunsets are worth it.
