Faits rapides: Le complexe abrite une bibliothèque avec plus de 1 500 manuscrits rares et un hôpital qui a fonctionné pendant des siècles. Ses quatre minarets comportent 10 balcons, un design rare réservé aux mosquées impériales dans la tradition ottomane.
Points forts: Le dôme massif de la mosquée s'étend sur 27,5 mètres, soutenu par seulement quatre énormes piliers, créant un espace intérieur ouvert impressionnant. La lumière du soleil filtre à travers des vitraux, projetant des motifs colorés sur les sols en marbre pendant les prières de midi.
