Faits rapides: Perchée sur un promontoire rocheux, cette fortification militaire abritait autrefois un canon de 381 mm capable de propulser un obus de près de 900 kilogrammes à plus de 30 kilomètres. L'énorme pièce d'artillerie n'a en réalité jamais été utilisée au combat, et la structure offre aujourd'hui l'une des vues panoramiques les plus à couper le souffle sur le littoral ligure que vous verrez jamais.

Points forts: La véritable magie opère au bout du sentier côtier sinueux, lorsque vous franchissez le dernier virage : l'énorme canon rouillé pivote encore sur ses rails, pointant silencieusement vers la mer. Par temps clair, vous pouvez apercevoir la Corse à l'horizon, et les bunkers en béton sont recouverts de maquis méditerranéen sauvage et de fleurs sauvages qui fleurissent en jaune vif et en violet au printemps.
