1. Karnak Temple

2. Valley of the Kings
Brze činjenice: Više od 60 grobnica faraona i kraljevskih osoba uklesano je u gole litice, ali samo je Tutankamonova grobnica pronađena potpuno netaknuta, s više od 5000 blaga unutra. Najveći kompleks, KV5, otvara se u više od 120 odaja, a istraživači vjeruju da bi daljnje grobnice još mogle ostati skrivene ispod doline.
3. Ramesseum
Srušeni 19-metarski divovski kolos prikazivao je titansku narav faraona i inspirirao je i Shelleyja. Gornji reljef pilona i jutarnje svjetlo pred vama prikazuju drevni Egipat.
Brze činjenice: Szonet Ozymandias engleskog pjesnika Shelleyja nadahnuo je golemi kolos koji je pao na tlo i prikazivao Ramzesa II. Kolos je nekoć bio visok oko 19 metara i težak gotovo 1000 tona, a sama je glava bila duga 2,5 metra.
Istaknuto: Glava kolosa, visoka oko 2,5 metra i teška 7 tona, i danas leži srušena na tlu, a Shelley je upravo tu glavu uzeo za muzu soneta. Astronomski ukras na stropu prikazuje božicu neba Nut, a gotovo 3000 godina stara boja ostala je potpuno netaknuta.

The temples are absolutely stunning but the May heat was brutal. Drink water constantly and take shade breaks. Still 100% worth the trip.
