Brze činjenice: Qui quattro statue di Buddha sono state scolpite direttamente nella parete di granito. La più imponente è un Buddha sdraiato lungo 14 metri che rappresenta il passaggio al nirvana.

- Bring shoes that are easy to remove: you will have to walk barefoot on the sacred area around the statues, and the stone becomes scorching hot by midday.
- The best spot to photograph the reclining Buddha is from the southeast corner of the platform, with the early morning light behind you.
- Do not limit yourself to a frontal view: walk around the rock to notice the veins in the granite that the medieval monks skillfully avoided during carving.
- Arrive before 9:00 to have the site all to yourself: after 10:00 the organized bus groups arrive.
