Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque
Waktu terbaik untuk berkunjung
It is best to come in the early morning hours (around 9-10 AM) when the sun rays through the dome opening create magical light effects on the walls. Spring brings a special magic during the equinox.
Tips anggaran
The entrance fee for foreigners is about 200,000 Iranian rials (less than 1 EUR). There are no free days, but the visit is extremely cheap compared to other world attractions.

Tentang
Fakta cepat: Under the 32-meter-high dome, daylight changes throughout the day, creating the illusion of a peacock's tail on the interior walls. The mosque never had a minaret because it was built exclusively for the royal family, not for public prayers.
Sorotan: At the center of the dome, at a height of 32 meters, there is a small peacock-shaped opening through which sunlight breaks at certain times of the day. That beam of light travels along the mosque walls as if wanting to touch every ornament, and the spring equinox directs it exactly onto the prayer niche.
Tips orang dalam
- Avoid the midday hours in summer when the heat is unbearable and the light effects are weakest.
- Be sure to bring a scarf to cover your head and take off your shoes before entering as a sign of respect.
- The best photo is taken from the center of the hall, where the reflection of the dome is seen on the floor like a mirror.
- Do not miss the small passage on the side that leads to the original tiles from the 17th century.
