Fakta cepat: Nearly two centuries of guided tours have worn a polished sheen into the stone steps near the entrance. More than 1,300 meters of corridors have been mapped, though the guided loop covers only the driest, most decorated halls.

Sorotan: On cooler mornings, dense fog rolls off the karst plateau and curls down the entrance shaft as if the cave is breathing, a sight that repeats only a few dozen days a year. Underground, a thicket of pale straw stalactites hangs beneath a single ceiling dome, and a well-angled flashlight makes the whole cluster blaze like a chandelier.
