Fakta singkat: Kubah besar memantulkan cahaya biru dari ribuan ubin Iznik yang halus, menciptakan suasana hening dan memikat bagi siapa saja yang melangkah masuk. Pengunjung sering terkejut melihat enam menara ramping, sebuah konfigurasi langka yang sempat menimbulkan perdebatan karena tampak menyaingi menara di tempat suci lain.
Sorotan: Di bagian dalamnya ada sekitar 20.000 ubin Iznik bernuansa biru, menampilkan lebih dari 50 motif tulip yang memantulkan cahaya sehingga permukaan dinding tampak berdenyut saat sinar matahari pagi dan lampu malam menyentuhnya. Di luar, enam menara rampingnya, jumlah yang sempat mengejutkan para kontemporer saat dibangun, membentuk siluet simetris saat matahari terbenam sementara lebih dari 200 jendela kaca patri memecah cahaya menjadi rona merah dan hijau.
