Fatti rapidi: La salita copre un dislivello di circa 800 metri, e il sentiero attraversa tre diverse fasce di vegetazione fino alla vetta a 1.050 metri. Con cielo sereno da qui si vedono la Laguna Toro, il golfo Ultima Esperanza e fino a 150 chilometri di ghiacciai in lontananza.
Punti salienti: Le faggiole di vetta qui sono piegate dai venti occidentali fino a 45 gradi, e una vecchia piramide geodetica in pietra si nasconde tra di esse sulla vetta stessa. In mezzo al silenzio totale, interrotto solo dal vento e dal suono dei campanacci delle pecore in basso, la vista abbraccia l'intera catena delle Torres del Paine da 1.050 metri di altezza.

- Wear trekking shoes with good grip, because the forested part of the trail is loose and very steep 30 minutes below the summit.
- Ten minutes before the summit, look for a stone platform with a panorama of Laguna Toro, the ideal secluded photo spot.
- Set out by 9 a.m., because on the trail you encounter the fewest people and the light is best for photos.
- Avoid the hike after a rainy night, because the muddy stretches become slippery and make the ascent tricky.
