Fatti rapidi: Il lago di La Cavayère si estende su una superficie di 35 ettari ed è circondato da pini e vigneti per cui è famosa la regione della Linguadoca. Questo lago artificiale è stato creato negli anni Settanta del secolo scorso ed è diventato la meta preferita di relax per gli abitanti di Carcassonne e i suoi visitatori.
Punti salienti: A pochi metri di profondità sotto la superficie delle acque calde, si nasconde un regno di gigantesche carpe che nuotano accanto ai visitatori. Alcuni di questi pesci hanno più di 20 anni e sono considerati tra i più grandi pesci dei laghi del sud della Francia.
