Fatti rapidi: Arroccato alla confluenza del fiume Valapattanam e del Mare Arabico, questo forte triangolare fu costruito con blocchi di laterite portati dalle vicine cave. Posizionato strategicamente per difendersi dagli attacchi navali in arrivo, le sue mura fatiscenti offrono ora ai visitatori ampie vedute della foce del fiume e dei lontani boschi di cocco.
