Fatti rapidi: La passeggiata di 3 chilometri si snoda lungo il Golfo dell'Oman e collega il vecchio porto con il mercato del pesce, dove i pescatori portano a terra tonno pinna gialla ogni giorno. Il venerdì mattina il lungomare si trasforma in un souk all'aperto: centinaia di famiglie omanite ed espatriati si riuniscono per fare colazione, camminare e osservare la gente.
Punti salienti: Al tramonto, durante la primavera e l'autunno, il sole cala direttamente dietro il Palazzo Al Alam del Sultano all'estremità occidentale della cornice, creando una finestra di 15 minuti di luce dorata che illumina la facciata bianco e oro del palazzo. La gente del posto chiama questo momento "l'ora d'oro di Al Alam", e i fotografi arrivano un'ora prima per accaparrarsi le panchine vicino al mercato del pesce per la vista senza ostacoli.
