Il progetto prevede 18 torri, la più alta supererà i 170 metri, numeri che la renderanno una struttura religiosa tra le più imponenti e riconoscibili.
Punti salienti: Al suo interno la luce entra attraverso vetrate pensate come tele pittoriche: le vetrate orientali in tonalità calde inondano le navate all'alba, mentre quelle occidentali in blu e verde vestono lo spazio al tramonto con riflessi liquidi e brillanti. Gaudí progettò 18 torri simboliche: 12 dedicate agli apostoli, quattro agli evangelisti, una alla Vergine e la più alta, dedicata a Cristo, che avrebbe dovuto raggiungere 172,5 metri; il suo corpo riposa nella cripta sotto la chiesa.
