About
Insider tips
- Dress modestly, cover shoulders and knees to show respect.
- Visit early morning or after 7pm to avoid the largest tour-bus crowds.
- Take photos from the north-east side to include the statue, dancers and city backdrop.
- Decline pushy fortune-tellers politely and agree prices for flower garlands before accepting.

4.3Evening visit felt touristy and sellers were persistent. The shrine is nice but skip the overpriced garlands.
Arrived at 8am with almost no line. Donations are optional but the short ceremony and photos were worth the stop.
Went at noon when it was packed and noisy. No entrance fee but expect to pay a few baht for flower garlands.
Stopped by after a BTS ride around 3pm, easy to get to and free entry. Great for a quick cultural stop, not a long visit.
